Brain surgery for schizophrenia guided by electrode mapping

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with schizophrenia (not another mental health condition)
  • Age 18 to 55 years old
  • Moderate to severe psychotic symptoms (like hallucinations or delusions)
  • Impaired social functioning due to symptoms
  • Tried at least two different antipsychotic medications for at least 6 weeks each without enough benefit
  • On a stable antipsychotic medication for at least 1 month before joining
