Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 65 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with one of six severe mental health conditions (like OCD, schizophrenia, bipolar depression, anorexia, gambling disorder, or adult autism) that has not improved with standard treatments
  • You have tried at least two different medications or therapies for your condition and they did not work or caused side effects
  • You are willing to have a surgery to implant a device in your brain (deep brain stimulation)
  • You do not have other serious medical conditions like heart disease, seizures, or a pacemaker
