Testing a new narcolepsy drug for excessive daytime sleepiness

This study tests a new medicine, HBS-301, for people with narcolepsy type 1 or type 2 who still have excessive daytime sleepiness. If you take other medications for sleepiness or mood, they must be stable for at least 3 months, and you cannot take some as-needed sleepiness medicines.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with narcolepsy type 1 or type 2 in the last 10 years.
  • You have excessive daytime sleepiness.
  • Any other medicines you take for sleepiness or mood must be at the same dose for at least 3 months before the study starts and stay stable during the study.
  • You cannot use as-needed medicines (like stimulants or modafinil) that affect daytime sleepiness.
  • You do not have serious liver, kidney, or heart problems (like long QT syndrome).
  • You do not have a history of bipolar disorder or psychosis, and any depression must be well-controlled.
