Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea (15 to 29 breathing pauses per hour)
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • Your BMI is 35 or lower and your neck is less than 44 cm (about 17.5 inches) around
  • Your teeth and gums are healthy (no cavities or gum disease that needs treatment, and no significant bone loss) and you have at least 20 teeth with even bite contact
  • You do not have jaw problems (like TMJ), significant teeth grinding, nasal blockage, or certain health conditions (such as epilepsy, heart rhythm issues, or prior strokes)
