This trial tests how well people accept a mouthpiece (mandibular advancement device) to treat obstructive sleep apnea (a condition where your breathing stops and starts during sleep). If you have sleep apnea and can wear a device that moves your lower jaw forward while you sleep, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • A medical need for a mandibular advancement device (mouthpiece) to treat sleep apnea
  • You can move your lower jaw forward by at least 5 millimeters
  • You have stable false teeth (crowns, bridges, implants, or well-fitting partial dentures)
  • Your mouth has teeth or dentures on both sides, at least as far back as your second premolars
  • You are legally able to consent and have signed a consent form
  • You do not have certain medical conditions (like severe arthritis, fibromyalgia, central sleep apnea, lung disease, untreated gum disease, or long-term use of certain strong pain or psychiatric medications)
