This trial tests a new device, called the Laplace TTVR System, to replace the tricuspid valve in people whose leaky valve (tricuspid regurgitation) continues to cause symptoms despite medical treatment. It may help if you have severe symptoms and are not a candidate for open-heart surgery.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 90 years old.
  • You still have symptoms from your leaky tricuspid valve even after taking heart medications for at least 30 days.
  • Your leaky valve is severe, massive, or torrential (the worst grades) as seen on an echocardiogram.
  • You are considered a good candidate for a catheter-based valve replacement by your heart team and a selection committee.
  • You agree to return for all follow-up visits after the procedure.
  • Your heart anatomy is a match for the Laplace TTVR device.
