This trial is testing whether people with advanced solid tumors who have responded well to immunotherapy and have no detectable cancer DNA in their blood can safely pause treatment. If eligible, you would be randomly assigned to either continue your current immunotherapy or stop it under close monitoring.

Who can take part

  • You have advanced or metastatic cancer (melanoma, NSCLC, MSI-high colorectal cancer, kidney cancer, or another solid tumor that has spread).
  • You have been receiving immunotherapy (e.g., a PD-1 inhibitor alone or with a CTLA-4 inhibitor) for at least 6 months (for melanoma or MSI-high CRC) or 12 months (for other cancers) and up to 15 months.
  • Your most recent scan shows your tumor has shrunk or disappeared (complete or partial response) within the last 6 weeks.
  • You have had at least 2 blood tests (6 weeks apart) showing no detectable cancer DNA (ctDNA), with the most recent test within the last month.
  • You are generally well enough to carry out daily activities (ECOG score 0-2) and have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, blood counts).
  • You do not have active brain metastases, an autoimmune disease needing treatment in the past 2 years, or a history of severe lung inflammation.
