Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a type of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) that is either idiopathic, inherited, or linked to connective tissue disease, repaired congenital heart defect, or certain drugs.
  • You have had a right heart catheterization showing specific pressures in your lungs and heart.
  • You have an implanted device that monitors your heart rhythm and lung artery pressure.
  • You can walk at least 50 meters in 6 minutes.
  • You have been stable on at least two PAH medications for at least one month.

This trial tests an experimental drug called XBD173 to see if it can reduce blood vessel inflammation and lower pressure in the lungs of people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). If you have a PAH diagnosis, are on two or more PAH medications, and already have a heart and lung monitor implanted, this study may be an option for you.
