- You are between 15 and 25 years old
- You have pectus excavatum (sunken chest)
- You are scheduled for a minimally invasive (keyhole) repair of pectus excavatum
- You are willing to receive one of the two nerve blocks for pain control
- You or your legal guardian (if under 18) can give written consent
- You do not have any condition that prevents a nerve block, such as a bleeding disorder, infection at the injection site, or allergy to pain medications
- You are not a long-term user of strong pain medicines (opioids) or have a chronic pain condition
- You do not have a health issue that would make it hard to report your pain level
