Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 90 years old.
  • For healthy volunteers: no medical conditions that affect muscles or nerves.
  • For ICU patients: you need a family member or legal representative to give consent if you can't speak for yourself.
  • For intubated ICU patients: you must be on a breathing tube for at least 24 hours and no longer than 72 hours.
  • You cannot have an allergy to medical tape or gel pads used with the device.
