Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have at least one metabolic condition, such as excess weight, high waist size, prediabetes or diabetes, high triglycerides, high blood pressure, or metabolic syndrome.
  • You have chronic kidney disease, like moderately to severely reduced kidney function or high protein in urine with normal kidney function.
  • You have documented hardening of the arteries in the heart, brain, or legs (e.g., past heart attack, stroke, or blocked arteries).
  • You do not have active infections, recent heart attack or stroke within 2 months, or use of immune-suppressing drugs.
