Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are scheduled for surgery to remove a tumor from your spinal cord (under general anesthesia).
  • You are right-handed.
  • You are able to understand and fill out questionnaires about your mood and anxiety.
  • You do not have any metal implants in your head, skull defects, or a history of seizures.
  • You have not had significant anxiety (score less than 8 on a standard anxiety test) before surgery.
