  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You are scheduled for a planned surgery that requires general anesthesia and a breathing tube
  • Your overall health is rated as Class I, II, or III by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (a classification of physical status)
  • You are able to understand the study and agree to participate by signing a consent form
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney problems, serious heart rhythm disorders, or diseases affecting the nerves or muscles
