Who can take part
- You must be 21 years or older
- You must have a diagnosis of ALS and test positive for an anti-NRIP antibody in your blood
- You must be able to receive plasmapheresis (blood filtering) treatments and attend regular check-ups
- You cannot be on permanent ventilator support (breathing machine)
- You cannot be pregnant and your blood fibrinogen level must be above 50 mg/dL
- You should not have a less common form of ALS, like primary lateral sclerosis or progressive muscular atrophy
