Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 and 12 years old and has a mix of baby and adult teeth.
  • Your child has at least 20 natural teeth.
  • Your child is at high risk for cavities (for example, has had several cavities or high levels of cavity-causing bacteria).
  • Your child has not taken antibiotics or used any antimicrobial mouthwash in the last 3 months.
  • Your child does not have any active mouth sores, gum disease, or braces.
  • You and your child are willing to participate (you give permission, and your child agrees).
