Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that is not a subtype called APL.
- Your leukemia must have a change in the NPM1 gene or the IDH1 or IDH2 genes.
- You cannot have received any prior intensive chemotherapy for AML, except hydroxyurea.
- You must have good enough organ function, including liver, kidneys, and heart, as measured by standard tests.
- You must not have other cancers or an uncontrolled infection.
