Who can take part

  • You are 40 years or older
  • You have severe aortic stenosis with thickened heart muscle (left ventricular hypertrophy)
  • You had a successful TAVR procedure within the last 30 days, and your heart function before TAVR was over 40%
  • You do not have very low blood pressure (below 90), high potassium, or serious kidney disease (eGFR <30 or on dialysis)
  • You are not allergic to angiotensin receptor blockers (like losartan or valsartan)
  • You can take medication by mouth and are willing to sign a consent form
