Who can take part
- You have a type of neuroendocrine cancer that started in the digestive system, pancreas, or other organs outside the lungs, and it cannot be surgically removed or has spread.
- You have not had any previous chemotherapy or other systemic treatment for advanced cancer, though you may have had adjuvant therapy after surgery if it was more than 6 months ago.
- You are 18 years or older and in generally good physical condition (able to carry out daily activities without significant help).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
- You do not have serious complications from the cancer, like a blocked bowel or major bleeding.
- Your blood test results show adequate bone marrow, liver, and kidney function.
