This study looks at how your genes affect your response to a diabetes medication called orforglipron. You will stop your usual diabetes pills for 5 days, then take the study drug and have a meal test to see how your blood sugar and body respond.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 79 years old.
  • You take 2 or fewer diabetes pills (or none at all). You are not on insulin or injectable diabetes medications.
  • You can stop your diabetes pills for 5 days before the study starts, with your doctor's approval.
  • Your most recent A1C is below 7.5%. Your average blood sugar in the last 3 months is under 180 mg/dL.
  • You do not have a history of pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, or certain stomach conditions.
  • You do not have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer (a rare type of thyroid cancer).
