Chemo and targeted drug before surgery for HER2-positive upper tract cancer

UTUC

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This trial tests a combination of chemotherapy (gemcitabine) and a targeted drug (Trastuzumab Rezetecan) before surgery to remove the kidney and ureter. It may help shrink the tumor and improve outcomes for people with HER2-positive upper tract urothelial cancer.

HER2-targeted drug study after kidney/ureter tumor surgery

This Phase 2 trial studies a HER2-targeted medicine (RC48-ADC) plus another drug (JS001) to help prevent cancer from coming back after surgery for upper urinary tract urothelial cancer. It may be an option if your tumor has higher HER2 levels and you have no spread to distant organs.

Chemotherapy before surgery for high-risk kidney/ureter cancer

This trial tests whether giving chemotherapy before surgery can help people with high-risk upper tract urothelial cancer (a cancer in the kidney or ureter). The goal is to see if it improves outcomes for those who are healthy enough to receive cisplatin-based chemotherapy and undergo surgery.

Immunotherapy plus chemo before surgery for upper tract cancer

This trial tests whether combining the immunotherapy drug tislelizumab with the chemotherapy drug nab-paclitaxel before surgery can help treat high-risk upper tract urothelial cancer. The goal is to shrink the tumor and improve outcomes for patients who are planning to have their kidney and ureter removed.

Tislelizumab and disitamab as pre-surgery treatment for HER2 UTUC

This trial tests whether giving tislelizumab plus disitamab vedotin before surgery (neoadjuvant therapy) can improve outcomes for people with HER2-positive, high-risk upper tract urothelial cancer. It also looks at the treatment’s safety and helps doctors learn if certain tumor features predict response.

Antibody-drug combo with radiation for HER2+ UTUC after surgery

This trial tests a combination of an antibody-drug conjugate (Disitamab Vedotin) plus radiation therapy after surgery to prevent upper tract urothelial cancer from coming back. It is for patients with HER2-positive tumors and high-risk features who cannot receive cisplatin chemo.
