Who can take part

  • You are between 45 and 65 years old.
  • You have had a stroke (either caused by a blockage or bleeding in the brain) and are now in the sub-acute phase, meaning a few weeks to months after the stroke.
  • You are stable, fully conscious, and can follow instructions.
  • You have some paralysis on one side of your body (hemiplegia).
  • Your mental status is intact, as shown by a score above 23 on a standard cognitive test.
  • You do not have serious heart or lung problems, diabetic complications, other neurological conditions (like Parkinson's), or vision/hearing loss, and you have not had recent surgery or injury to your brain, bones, or joints.
