Duffy-null and chemotherapy dosing for solid tumors

This study looks at how a common genetic trait (Duffy-null) affects white blood cell counts and how that might change the dose of chemotherapy that is safe for you. If you have Middle Eastern or African ancestry and are about to start chemo for a solid tumor, this trial may help your doctor choose the right dose from the start.

Who can take part

  • You must be of Middle Eastern or African descent.
  • You must have a solid tumor cancer (not sarcoma) that hasn't been treated yet, except maybe surgery.
  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You must not have an active infection that needs IV antibiotics, unless it's under control.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must be willing to follow the study plan.
