Who can take part

  • Age: The child must be a minor (under 18 years).
  • Weight: Less than 75 kg.
  • Height: Between 1.0 and 1.5 m.
  • Hip width: Maximum distance between greater trochanters must be 35 cm or less.
  • Thigh length: Maximum distance from trochanter to knee joint line must be 36 cm or less.
  • Lower leg length: Maximum distance from knee joint line to shoe sole must be 45 cm or less.
  • Medical stability: No acute medical conditions or recent surgeries.
  • Skin integrity: Skin in contact areas must be intact.
  • Joint function: No severe contractures or spasticity (Modified Ashworth Scale ≤ 3).
  • Bone health: No severe osteoporosis or recent fractures in lower limbs.
  • Hip stability: No unstable or painful hip dislocation (Migration Percentage ≤ 50%).
  • Head/trunk control: Must have some head and trunk control, or it must be compensable with orthotic support.
  • Consent: Parent/guardian consent and child assent as appropriate.
