Who can take part

  • Age between 18 and 65
  • Generally healthy or have only mild health issues (classified as ASA I or II)
  • Scheduled for elective upper limb (arm/hand) surgery
  • No peripheral neuropathy, Raynaud's, or peripheral vascular disease
  • No diabetes with neuropathy
  • No infection at the injection site, no allergy to local anesthetics, BMI ≤ 35, and no preexisting temperature differences between arms
