Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are being treated by the SAMU emergency service in the Salvador, Brazil area.
  • You have signs of a sudden stroke (like sudden weakness or a very bad headache) or a moderate to severe head injury.
  • You do not have other brain conditions like a previous head injury, stroke, brain tumor, or infection.
  • You do not have cuts on your scalp that would prevent placing a small sensor on your head.
  • You are not pregnant.
