Who can take part

  • You must be over 18 years old.
  • You should have symptoms of peripheral artery disease, such as leg pain when walking or non-healing sores on your feet.
  • You need to have a blocked leg artery that is at least 70% narrowed and has calcium buildup.
  • You must be healthy enough for an angiography procedure, and have a life expectancy of more than one year.
  • You cannot have had a recent heart attack or stroke, or be on dialysis, and you must not be pregnant.
