Who can take part
- You have type 2 diabetes, with fasting blood sugar below 185 mg/dL and HbA1c of 8% or lower, on stable diabetes medication (not insulin).
- You have advanced breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive (HR+) and HER2-negative.
- You have not had any prior systemic treatment for advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
- Your tumor has a specific PIK3CA gene mutation (confirmed by a test).
- You are able to do light or active daily tasks (ECOG performance status 0–1).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you agree to use contraception if needed.
