Comparing empagliflozin timing during emergency heart attack treatment
Treatments studied
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests whether giving empagliflozin (a diabetes medicine that may protect the heart) before or after emergency angioplasty for a first heart attack is better than a placebo. It aims to see if this medicine can improve recovery in South Asian patients.

This trial tests if a diabetes drug called empagliflozin can help the heart's left atrium work better in people who have had a stroke with no known cause. You may join if you are getting a heart monitor device implanted to look for hidden irregular heartbeats.
This study tests whether giving an SGLT2 inhibitor (a diabetes medicine that may also protect the heart) early after a heart attack can help shield the heart from damage. It is for people having a first-time STEMI heart attack who have adequate kidney function and stable blood pressure.
This trial tests whether dapagliflozin (a diabetes medicine also used for heart protection) can reduce harmful heart “remodeling” after an acute heart attack. It may help your heart function and structure recover over the following 6 months.
This trial tests whether a diabetes drug called dapagliflozin (also used for heart failure) can help people recover better after a recent heart attack. It's for adults who are already on standard blood thinners and have had a heart attack in the past week.
This trial tests if the drug empagliflozin can improve kidney function in people hospitalized with heart failure who also develop acute kidney injury. It may help protect the kidneys while treating the heart condition.
This trial tests whether a diabetes drug called dapagliflozin can help people recover from a major heart attack (STEMI). You may qualify if you had a large heart attack within the last 12 hours and have not had a heart attack before.
