Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have primary myelofibrosis, or post-polycythemia vera or post-essential thrombocythemia myelofibrosis.
  • You have an enlarged spleen (can be felt 5 cm below the rib cage or, due to body size, confirmed by scan to be at least 450 cc).
  • You have at least 2 symptoms like fatigue or bone pain that are moderate to severe, or an overall symptom burden that is high.
  • Your blood counts are not too low: platelets above 50, ANC above 1.0, and hemoglobin above 60 g/L.
  • You have heart, liver, and kidney function within acceptable limits and do not have to wait for a stem cell transplant in the next 6 months.
