Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have a narrowed heart artery that blocks at least half the blood flow and causes symptoms of reduced blood flow
  • The narrowed part is hardened by calcium, confirmed by a special ultrasound test
  • The artery is between 2.5 and 4.0 mm wide, and a guidewire can pass through it
  • If you have other narrowed arteries, they must be treated successfully before this one
  • You must be able to give written consent and not have conditions that prevent reading or signing consent
