Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with advanced hypopharyngeal cancer that is considered operable.
  • You have not had prior systemic treatment for advanced cancer, though you may have had earlier neoadjuvant or adjuvant therapy if it was at least 6 months ago and did not leave any residual disease.
  • You have not been treated with PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors (like pembrolizumab or nivolumab) or EGFR inhibitors before.
  • You are in generally good health with adequate organ function (kidney, liver, blood counts).
  • You do not have active autoimmune disease, active infections (like HIV or tuberculosis), or other serious uncontrolled conditions.
