Who can take part
- You have advanced cancer of the voice box (larynx) or lower throat (hypopharynx) that requires removal of the entire voice box.
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have not had radiation to the head and neck area or immunotherapy before.
- Your general health is good enough for surgery and treatment (ECOG score 0-1).
- Your kidney, liver, and blood counts are within acceptable ranges.
