Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have received or will receive your first stem cell transplant from a donor (allogeneic).
  • You are willing to attend scheduled visits and provide blood or stool samples.
  • For the second phase (the FMT part), your immunoglobulin A (IgA) level must be very low, and your other immune markers (IgG, IgM) have not returned to normal.
  • You must not have active severe graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) — a condition where donor cells attack your body.
  • You must be off antibiotics for at least 2 weeks before the FMT part, and you cannot be on high-dose steroids (more than 1 mg per kilogram per day of prednisone or equivalent).
