  • You have had neck pain for more than 3 months
  • The neck pain is not caused by an injury like whiplash or a car accident
  • You do not have a serious disease affecting your spine or nervous system
  • You have not had neck surgery
  • You do not take benzodiazepines (medications for anxiety) every day
  • You are able to give informed consent to join the study
