Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have acute myeloid leukemia (AML), but not a subtype called acute promyelocytic leukemia.
  • Your leukemia is in first remission after initial chemotherapy.
  • Your leukemia is not considered high-risk by current guidelines.
  • You are not very active (ECOG score of 2 or more) or you have significant other health conditions (like heart, lung, or liver problems).
  • You have a suitable donor for a stem cell transplant and are willing to have the transplant.
