Textured insoles for foot function in plantar fasciopathy

Plantar Fasciopathy

This trial tests whether textured shoe insoles can improve foot function and reduce pain in people with long-standing plantar fasciopathy (a common cause of heel pain). You may join if your condition has lasted at least 3 months and you can walk for 20 minutes, but you must be otherwise healthy without recent leg injuries or other balance issues.

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with plantar fasciopathy (heel pain condition) for at least 3 months
  • Able to walk continuously for at least 20 minutes
  • No recent injury or surgery to the legs or feet (within the last 6 months)
  • No other conditions affecting balance or foot sensation (e.g., nerve damage, stroke, vision problems)
  • Not pregnant
  • Able to speak and understand English
