This study is testing whether mindfulness-based stress reduction can help people with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR), a condition causing fluid buildup under the retina. If you have active CSCR that started recently, you might be eligible.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have active central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) with fluid in the central retina on OCT.
  • You have changes in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) seen on imaging.
  • Your current episode started less than 6 months ago.
  • You have not had laser treatment (including PDT) for CSCR in the study eye.
  • You have not used steroid or carbonic anhydrase inhibitor eye drops in the last 90 days.
  • You have not had injections into the eye (anti-VEGF or steroid) in the last 180 days.
  • You have not had eye surgery or laser in the last 90 days.
  • You do not have other retinal diseases that could cause fluid, such as diabetic retinopathy or macular degeneration.
