Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with central serous chorioretinopathy (fluid buildup under the retina) that did not improve after 6 months of treatment with two specific medications (Acetazolamide and Eplerenone).
  • The fluid under the center of your retina has been present for at least 6 months.
  • You are 18 years or older and can read and understand the informed consent form.
  • You have not had any other retinal treatments for this condition besides the two medications mentioned.
  • You do not have other eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, or abnormal blood vessels in the eye.
  • You do not have severe nearsightedness or farsightedness (more than 6 diopters) or uncontrolled glaucoma requiring eyedrops.
