Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You are scheduled for planned (non-emergency) surgery for a herniated disc in your lower back.
  • You are generally healthy or have mild to moderate health issues (classified as ASA I-III).
  • You have had an MRI of your lower back before surgery as part of routine care.
  • You can understand and complete a questionnaire about your recovery.
  • You are willing to participate and sign a consent form.
