Who can take part

  • You must be over 18 years old.
  • You must have high blood sugar that needs insulin treatment while in the intensive care unit.
  • You must have been in the intensive care unit for less than 48 hours.
  • You must not have a serious allergy to tape or sticky adhesives.
  • You cannot take part if your doctor expects you to be in the hospital for less than 24 hours or if you are not expected to survive.
