Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have type 2 diabetes and have been on stable diabetes and blood pressure medications for at least 3 months.
  • Your kidney function is moderately reduced (eGFR between 30 and 90) and you have protein in your urine.
  • You have had a kidney biopsy showing that your kidney damage is due to diabetes.
  • You are not on dialysis and have not used stem cell treatments before.
  • You do not have other serious health conditions (like heart disease, stroke, infections, or cancer).
