  • You have a cataract that is age-related (senile cataract).
  • You are scheduled to have cataract surgery with a new lens implant.
  • You do not have other eye conditions like glaucoma, pseudoexfoliation syndrome, or chronic eye inflammation.
  • You have not had eye surgery before.
  • Your cataract surgery is expected to be uncomplicated.
