Who can take part

  • Your child must be 2 to 17 years old.
  • Your child needs a head CT scan as part of their standard care.
  • Your child is seen in the pediatric emergency department or intensive care unit at this hospital.
  • An ultrasound of the head must be possible within 6 hours of the CT scan.
  • Your child must not have certain skull conditions that make ultrasound unreliable.
