Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have been on hemodialysis for more than 3 months.
  • You have had a potassium level above 5.0 on a routine blood test in the last year.
  • You are not currently taking potassium-lowering medications (like sodium polystyrene sulfonate or patiromer).
  • You have not missed more than 2 dialysis sessions in the past month.
  • You do not live in a care facility where meals are provided (like a nursing home).
  • You are able to give informed consent and follow study instructions.
