Who can take part

  • You are a woman aged 18 or older.
  • You are scheduled to have a total laparoscopic hysterectomy (uterus removal through small incisions) for a non-cancerous condition.
  • You are able to give written consent and are healthy enough for laparoscopic surgery.
  • You do not have known urinary tract abnormalities, previous ureter surgery, or a current ureter stent.
  • You are not having emergency surgery or a different type of hysterectomy (like vaginal or abdominal).
