  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have one specific type of back fracture called an 'AO type B' fracture from recent trauma.
  • You do not have any nerve damage from the injury.
  • You have not had back surgery before and do not have other spinal conditions.
  • You are not pregnant and are healthy enough for surgery.
