Who can take part

  • Babies must be between 1 and 23 months old.
  • The baby must have a first-time wheezing episode with a cold and fast breathing or chest retractions, diagnosed as bronchiolitis.
  • The baby must be seen in the emergency department within 6 hours of symptoms starting.
  • Parent or guardian must agree to take part and sign a consent form.
