Who can take part

  • Your baby is a newborn (up to 30 days old) or an infant (31 days to 1 year old).
  • Your baby's health status is classified as ASA I, II, III, or IV (not V).
  • Your baby will have a breathing tube placed through the mouth with muscle relaxants, and the doctor will use a video laryngoscope.
  • Your baby's airway can be either easy or difficult to intubate (both types can join).
  • The procedure is planned (not an emergency), and your baby can lie flat on their back.
  • You (the parent or guardian) give permission for your baby to participate.
