Wearable ring sensor for diagnosing sleep apnea in adults

This study tests whether a wearable ring sensor can help diagnose obstructive sleep apnea (a condition where breathing stops during sleep) compared to the standard in-lab sleep test. If you have suspected sleep apnea and are generally healthy, this study might help you get a simpler and more convenient diagnosis.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have suspected obstructive sleep apnea (based on high scores on the ESS or STOP-BANG sleep questionnaires).
  • You must not have had a cold, flu, or other upper respiratory infection in the last month.
  • You must not be a current smoker.
  • You must not have a history of head or neck cancer.
  • You must not have active respiratory, neurological, or psychiatric disorders (and you must not be currently taking psychiatric medication).
