Who can take part

  • You must be between 40 and 65 years old.
  • You must have had shoulder pain or stiffness for at least 3 months.
  • Your shoulder movement must be limited in at least two directions (e.g., raising your arm, rotating it).
  • You must not have stiffness or pain in both shoulders.
  • You must not have certain medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, heart disease, infections, blood clotting disorders, full rotator cuff tear, recent shoulder surgery, nerve problems in your arm, shoulder osteoarthritis, or a recent fracture in your arm or shoulder.
